Mirzapur Season 2 coming soon on Amazon Prime, “Bajega Pura Band”!

It was on 16 November 2018, the first season of Mirzapur had started its journey on Amazon Prime. The next season of the most-awaited, thriller was expected to drop in November 2019. Amazon has not confirmed the date of Mirzapur Season 2 release but it confirmed that the webs series will be coming sometime in 2020. 

Executive producer Farhan Akhtar had endorsed that filming of Mirzapur Season 2 had commenced in early 2019.

The same was announced by Amazon by releasing a short teaser trailer for Mirzapur 2. It carried the tag that the show was ‘coming in 2020’.

The teaser clip shows two funeral pyres with the voice of Akhandanand “Kaleen Bhaiya” Tripathi (Pankaj Tripathi), who is heard saying: “Jo Aaya hai, vo jaayega Bhi, bas marzi hamaari hogi!”

Another trailer clipping of the Indian crime thriller prime original series takes through the best of the first season of Mirzapur. The text accompanying the teaser reads: “In season one we heard Sitar, Peepni, Tabla. In season two, Bajega Pura Band.”

“Hopefully early next year. We are hoping to bring you back to the world of Mirzapur. So early next year we would, but before season two, I have some film commitments to finish both here and abroad and yeah, then after that we will begin,” Actor Ali Fazal who plays one of the protagonists, Guddu Pandit, confirmed to The Indian Express .

Keeping in mind the forced lockdown due to Coronavirus pandemic, it’s speculated that Mirzapur Season 2 should drop in anytime in April 2020. If it turns out to be true, it will bring relief for all staying indoors.

Amazon’s best thriller for the Indian audience has been able to catch the nerves. The web series storyline is around two brothers who get involved in the world of drugs, violence, and the mafia. The siblings are Guddu and Bablu played by Ali Fazal and Vikrant Massey respectively.

There is no clue about the cast of Season 2 and Mirzapur season 2 release date. But it is expected that the characters of “Kaleen Bhaiya” played by Pankaj Tripathi, “Guddu Bhaiya” enacted by Ali Fazal and Phoolchand “Munna Bhaiya” Tripathi played by Divyendu Sharma will be retained.
