“SANJU” Sidhu Moose Wala’s latest song lands him into a legal case

Punjab Police has booked singer Sidhu Moosewala for his latest video single album “Sanju”. A case related to blatant glorification of violence and gun culture in his latest song “Sanju” has been registered. The latest track was released on social media a couple of days ago.

Keeping in mind the social impact and blatant glorifying of arms in Sidhu Moosewala‘s Sanju song, case has been registered at Mohali crime branch police station under sections 188/294/504 and 120 B of the Indian Penal Code.

ADGP Arpit Shukla while giving a brief on the case cited that Moosewala’s latest track gives reference of the arms case registered against Sanjay Dutt. Also, the video gave references to the news stories published against Dutt.

The Mohali crime branch team after scrutinizing the lyrics and video reached the conclusion that song promoted gun culture and violence.

This is not the first case that police has booked Sidhu Moosewala. He was earlier booked by Barnala police on the basis of a video showing him brandishing an AK-47 in the presence of cops. On February 1, another case related to public display of firearms was registered by Mansa police against Moosewala.

ADGP Shukla was of the opinion that Moosewala is making a ‘mockery of the system.’ Punjab Police is set to move the High Court for cancellation of the anticipatory bail granted in an Arms Act case to controversial singer Sidhu Moosewala.

There are strict instructions from Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and Punjab and Haryana High Court for taking strict action against anyone found glorifying gun culture.
