A lot of movies are getting released on streaming platforms due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This trend of releasing movies over the web will continue for at least a couple of month, as theatres won’t be getting a huge audience until a COVID-19 vaccine is available in the market.
Recently, we got Gulabo Sitabo, and Disney+Hotstar is planning to release Sushant Singh Rajput’s final film, Dil Bechara, along with Laxmmi Bomb and Bhuj: The Pride of India, in the next couple of months.
During this outbreak, we have some interesting news for the fans of Fahadh Faasil. The award-winning actor is beginning the shoot of his upcoming movie shortly. The creators of the upcoming movie, See You Soon, are ready to begin filming soon. It will be the second time that Faasil will play a role in a movie directed by Mahesh Narayan. Previously, they worked together on the 2017 film Take Off.
Earlier reports suggested that the Kerala Film Producers Association did not allow shooting for movies that weren’t in production before the lockdown. However, the association has allowed the filming of See You Soon as it is not a feature-length film.
The filmmakers are going to take special precautions, and the filming will be done indoors with the help of mobile phones. See You Soon will only be an hour-long at most. According to the director, the film is like an experiment, and it will let them ascertain if filming a movie using a mobile phone is a viable option. The film is set in a hospital, but most of the shooting will take place at Fahad Faasil’s home.
See You Soon is one of those films that will be released on streaming platforms, but the filmmakers haven’t decided the platform yet.
