With the increasing demand for content, Netflix is changing is welcoming a great deal of unique substance on its foundation. Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming film, Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai, is a tale of relationship and truth, and an uncertain balance between money and power.
Netflix released the first look at this movie and announced that it is coming to the streaming platform on 5th June. The film features Saiyami Kher, who plays the role of a bank employee weighed down by her jobless husband’s debt and her broken dreams. She, somehow, comes across a source of limitless wealth in her home. The movie is going to be suspense drama and will also feature Roshan Matthew and Amruta Subhash in prominent roles.
Choked: Paisa Bolta hai is a joint venture between Netlflix and Good Bad Films. Nihat Bhave penned down the story, and Anurag Kashyap directed the film.
In a discussion, Anurag Kashyap said that Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai is a film that is close to his heart. He describes the film as a story of a lady from a middle-class family who has a strong willpower. She witnesses an unlimited kitchen sink dispensing cash every night and how this money changes her life.
Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai is the sixth exclusive Indian film that has been made by Netflix in the year 2020. The year had started with horror anthology Ghost Stories directed by Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, Johar, and Kashyap in January. The next one to come out on Netflix was a dance drama Yeh Ballet from writer-director Sooni Taraporevala in February.
The third Indian film was a college rape drama Guilty starring Kiara Advani produced by Karan Johar. In March, Netflix streamed a rom-com Maska featuring Manisha Koirala. May saw the release of Jacqueline Fernandez-led mystery thriller Mrs. Serial Killer.
Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai will start streaming on Netflix from 5th June, and the trailer will be arriving in a couple of days.
